Hermeneutics is the art of interpretation. Traditional fields such as law and social sciences, along with theology, rely on hermeneutics to make sense of, or interpret the meaning of source material. Biblical hermeneutics, likewise, focus on principles for interpreting Scripture. When it comes to Biblical interpretation, we believe the question isn’t, “What does the text say?” The question is, “Through whose eyes do we read the text?” |
