Kris lives in Tacoma, WA with his wife, Lana, and their two sons Grant and Mitchell. He has served in urban ministry since 1985 and is the founding director of Street Psalms. He earned a D.Min. in Transformational Leadership for the Global City from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, WA. Kris has co-authored three books, Geography of Grace – Doing Theology from Below, Meal From Below – A Five Course Meal with Jesus and Incarnational Training Framework – A Training Guide for Developing Incarnational Leaders. Kris is an ordained member of Street Psalms.
Kris’ primary focus as Street Psalms Senior Fellow is how to cultivate an incarnational theology of peace with urban leaders who see and celebrate good news in hard places.
Kris swears that he heard God laugh once, and has never let the facts get in the way of truth, when telling a story.
