Senior Fellow
Ron Ruthruff
Ron lives in Seattle with his wife Linda and two sons, Ben and Clayton, where he is the associate professor of theology and culture at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He also serves as the anchor professor for global and social partnerships. Ron has more than 30 years of experience working with street involved youth. Ron earned his D.min at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston and is an ordained member of Street Psalms. Ron is the author of two books: The Least of These: Lessons Learned from Kids on the Street and Closer to the Edge: Walking with Jesus for the World’s Sake.
Ron’s particular focus as Street Psalms Senior Fellow is how to connect Biblical ethics and social justice as an academic discipline with the Street. Ron’s expertise is in social problems such as racism, poverty, street involved youth and developing a caring and compassionate theological response.
If Ron wasn’t doing social justice work, he would be wearing a black western shirt, riding his motorcycle and playing in an Americana or Rock-a-billy band.
