What I Want, What I Need
As I sit with the news from around the world each day, I see blatant power plays, control, disruption, and crisis. We have heard about wars between countries—something I’d only read about in history textbooks. I never imagined living in a world where wars would once again become a present reality. Alongside this, there have been numerous cases of religious and communal conflicts gaining momentum in ways that hit closer to home.

Let me paint a picture for you: On a single day, a crowd of more than 76.4 million, called by their immovable faith, took a dip in the holy waters of the river ‘Sangam’, which is a confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. While the Ganges is clear and shallow, the Yamuna River is greenish, deep and one of the most polluted rivers in India. The Saraswati River is invisible and considered mythical.
